It is too early to give the correct answer. Definitely Google Instant over time will change search engine optimization. Of course the search results will remain the same for particular queries, but people will learn to search differently using the results in real time.

The main concern is that the small companies who rely on long-tail search terms will be the most effected. Because Google Instant suggests to users what they can search during typing a query, most of the people will not continue to type long-tail keywords.
