Tuesday October 12, 2010, 7:34The first test drives took place in California, the self-driving cars have logged over 140,000 miles in total. Google's automated cars uses video cameras, radar sensors and a laser range finder which allows to detect traffic. The car has also constant access to detailed maps, so it can navigate the road.
