				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Matt Cutts, a Google software engineer and head of Google&#8217;s Webspam team, recently gave an update in his blog on his search engine spam post.</p>
<p>A recent post of his stated that &#8220;we&#8217;re evaluating multiple changes that should help drive spam levels even lower, including one change that primarily affects sites that copy others&#8217; content and sites with low levels of original content.&#8221; This change was launched earlier last week.</p>
<p>Cutts went on to explain the launch was targeted, in that just a little over 2% of queries change in some way, but less than half a percent of search results change enough that someone might actually be aware of it. As a result, searchers are more likely to see sites that wrote the original content, versus a site that scraped or copied the original site?s content</p>
