A new version of the software allows making video calls. The new app is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 4th generation with i0S 4.0 or above.

Today, Skype introduced a new version of the app. A new Skype App for iPhone allows to make calls with high quality sound, and supports multitasking.

It is a great news! You can now receive Skype calls while other apps are running. Also during a call, you can keep the conversation going while you switch to another app.

According to a blog post on Skype website today, a version of Skype for iPhone which supports 3G calling will be release soon. Skype is working also on video chat capabilities.

Without the plug-in Skype can be used for video chat between no more than two people. VuRoom costs US$9.95 per month for unlimited calls. Only one person who initiate the call has to buy the plug-in, other parties need only Skype and a webcam.
