Almost one year ago Royal Deer Design write with a big enthusiasm about Wave from Google, a new social networking environment from Google. Today, Google on its official blog announced that the company stopped developing wave.

From an official blog: “But despite these wins, and numerous loyal fans, Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked. We don?t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year and extend the technology for use in other Google projects.”

I am not really a big fun of social networking websites. All that because I don’t have time for this kind of activity. However I love the idea of those communities, I see and I use the potential of those sites. I am also waiting for a new player on the market ? Google Wave.

I am excited about it not only because I am a big fun of all products from Google. The Wave seems to be a next step in an evolution of the social networking word. According to information from Google, Wave will be an online environment for real-time communication and collaboration which will allow using and share richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, etc. You can read more about it here.
