Google just announced that it is banning Microsoft Windows from internal use. That means Google’s employees will be able to choose only between Apple’s Mac OS and Linux.

What does it mean for Microsoft? More than 20,000 Windows licenses won’t be sold and renewed by Google in future.

This quick growth has continued through the first quarter of 2010 and now Windows 7 has 10% market share.

Windows XP dropped to 64.46 percent market share, Windows Vista to 16.01 percent, and Windows 7 jumped to 10.23 percent. Mac operating system has 5.55 percent, Linux 1.03%.
