I was recently reading many sources related to SEO about sitemap, and how big impact on indexing pages this file has. My conclusion is that a speed of indexing pages by Google’s web crawler depends very much on page range of a website. So, if your page doesn’t have high rank and Google’s crawler seems to be lazy while visiting your page and submitting updated sitemap definitely helps.
